To raise awareness of the importance of the Quran in tilaawah, tajweed, and tahfeedh.

Quran Competition Categories:
Brothers’ Categories
Group 1: Boys age 3-8. Read Surah Humazah with looking.
Group 2: Boys age 9-15. Read Surah Fajr with looking.
Group 3: Boys age 16+. Read Surah Qamar, ayah 1-11 with looking
& recite Surah Sajdah (Alif Laam Meem) ayah 1-11 from memory.
Sisters' Categories
Group 1: Girls age 3-8. Read Surah Humazah with looking.
Group 2: Girls age 9-15. Read Surah Fajr with looking.
Group 3: Girls age 16+. Read Surah Qamar, ayah 1-11 with looking
& recite Surah Sajdah (Alif Laam Meem) ayah 1-11 from memory.
Quran Competition Rules
Prizes will be given to the winners and all Contestants will receive a small token of encouragement for their participation.
The contestants may not negotiate their results with the judges.
If there are 6 or less contestants in any of the above-mentioned categories, Darul Hikmah has the right to omit the category.
For the contestants ages 16+: They must memorize Surah Mulk ayah 1-15 fluently before the competition day as they will need to recite it from memory after reading Surah Qamar ayah 1-15 with looking.
Judging
The contestants will be judged based on their reading with correct articulation, tajweed, clarity, and eloquence.
The contestants might be given a second chance in certain situations.
The contestants might be given a second chance in case of poor internet connection.
The contestants may not negotiate their results with the judges.
If a contestant is not present during the competition, he/she will automatically disqualify.

1st Place winners in each category: Trophy & Cash Prize of $50
2nd Place winners in each category: Metal & Cash Prize of $25
3rd Place winners in each category: Metal & Cash Prize of $15

Quran teachers and ijaazah holders may not participate in the competition.
